This website

It sets no cookies and runs no analytics, and its typeface is served from this site, so no font service is asked. The pages are served by Cloudflare Pages. As with any website, the servers that answer your browser see your IP address and which address you asked for.

The download buttons fetch the files from GitHub, where they are stored, so GitHub sees that request.

The program

Your patterns stay on your computer. Nothing is uploaded, in the downloaded program or in your browser. Unsaved work is kept on your computer so that it can be offered back after a crash.

The update check. The downloaded program asks GitHub at each start whether a newer version is out, as any web page asks for a file. Nothing about you or your patterns is added to that request. Settings ▸ User Settings ▸ Updates switches it off. Nothing is downloaded or installed without your click.

What Send Feedback sends

Send Feedback sends nothing by itself. It puts the bug information on your clipboard, shows it to you, and opens a message to feedback@gussetdrafter.com in your own e-mail program. You choose what to paste and whether to send it. Your message goes through your own e-mail provider and arrives with your address on it, like any e-mail.

The bug information holds:

• the version of Gusset, your system or browser, and your screen and window size
• how many patterns and seams the open document has, and which kind of avatar is loaded
• the last errors, with file paths and addresses taken out, and the names of your last steps

It holds no pattern. If you attach a .pdraft file to your message, we see that file.
